Paintings on Silk All of my paintings start out as a piece of natural undyed chinese silk.  They are all my own original designs and are each painted individually by hand.  I do not use screen printing or any form of mass production, and so each one is a unique piece of art.  Paintings mounted on foam core can be framed in a conventional frame, with or without a mount.  Some are shipped unmounted and can stretched over a wooden frame similar to an oil on canvas, or stretched onto foam core and framed.  They should be hung away from direct light as over time this can damage the silk.
